Action Partnership: Many Faiths One Creation is a growing group of individuals from south eastern Ontario who are committed to taking action on climate change. Our members represent a variety of religious traditions. We believe that as people dedicated to the common good, inspired by our beliefs and energized by our spirituality, we have a shared responsibility for the protection of creation and creating a safe climate. While celebrating the uniqueness of our different traditions, we stand together in working for an ecologically and socially sustainable future.
Our Mission:
To coordinate public action, rooted in our diverse faiths, for climate justice, answering a moral obligation for a healthier world now and for future generations.
Our Goals:
To take a leading role in fostering dialogue and discussion of climate change and care of creation amongst the many faiths in the Kingston area.
To educate our members on their moral responsibility to care for creation by protecting the most vulnerable and by preventing suffering and injustice, including protecting the natural processes that make life possible.
To mobilize the faith community in the Kingston area to act on their moral and ethical principles to rapidly reduce carbon pollution by significant levels, to prepare for the consequences of a warming planet, to insist on public policies at the local, provincial and federal level that support these goals and to create a just transition to a low-carbon economy.
