In the early months of 2014, a small group of individuals from different faith traditions in the Kingston area gathered to inquire how we might better participate in and support local initiatives advocating care of creation.
Over the last couple of months, the circle has grown. We are now known as "Action Partnership: Many Faiths, One creation". We have committed ourselves to a path that would bring faith communities together to learn from each other and provide a local witness advocating environmental respect and climate justice in the Kingston region. Our missions statement reads: "To coordinate public action, rooted in our diverse faiths, for climate justice, answering a moral obligation or a healthier world now and for future generations."
Beginning this autumn we would like to visit representatives of local faith communities for a time of introduction and learning. The first meeting will be held at the Sisters of Providence at 1200 Princess Street. The date and time will be sent out shortly.
